Stacy Peterson's art career began in Houston as an art director in advertising, which then led to working in New York City. After years of hustle & bustle, Stacy longed to spend more time at home with a new baby, so she put together an illustration portfolio. Finding success, she began illustrating full time & produced numerous greeting cards, & products including over 65 children’s books for clients such as American Girl, Scholastic, & even Madonna. Always looking for a new challenge, Stacy explored manufacturing children’s bedding, but realised she most liked creating patterns & prints. This led to surface pattern design, & she has created numerous collections, now at FreeSpirit. Stacy’s style is ever-evolving, much like her career, but her love of colour & appreciation for design shines through.
