Join me for the These Clever Hands "Me Sew Happy" Quilt Along! This fun & easy quilt-along will run at a relatively easy pace for six weeks, with some great giveaways along the way. It is a fabulous opportunity to connect with other quiltmakers, ask questions, share tips & learn from others.
The quilt-along fun will begin this week - on April 1st 2021 (& thats no joke!, just in time to get started over the Easter break & it will run through to May 13, 2021. The pace is relaxed - never more than four blocks per week - so that we can enjoy the journey. It's all about some enjoyable, fun, scrappy stitching. If you can't keep up, that is perfectly okay - your quilt, your rules.
A basic outline of the QAL dates:
Week 1: Four easy blocks
Week 2: Four very easy blocks
Week 3: Two slightly challenging blocks
Week 4: Two more slightly challenging blocks
Week 5: Four easy blocks
Week 6: Assembling the quilt top
The pattern has options to make this quilt in a larger size if you'd prefer, however, this QAL is for the 64" square option - as I made.
You will be able to dig into your scrap bin & your stash with this pattern. There are some small pieces (perfect for your scraps) & then some mid size pieces (maybe scraps, maybe stash). I used a little bit of everything in my quilt - some Kaffe Collective, some Snow Leopard, some Tula, some Jennifer Paganelli, some Cotton+Steel, & much more!
This quilt is a relatively easy make, with basic patchwork skills required - you just need to be able to cut straight, sew an accurate 1/4" seam & follow the instructions. The finished size of this quilt is 162.5cm (64”) square - a perfect play, picnic or lap quilt. There are also sizes given for single through to king sized options.

Purchase, download & print your copy of my "Me Sew Happy" quilt pattern - you can buy it here.
Look for my "I'm In" Me Sew Happy QAL post & share it to your Instagram Feed (if you can't share the image, then try taking a screen shot & posting it that way).
Invite your stitching friends to join the fun by tagging them in your "I'm In" post.
Be sure to use the hashtag #mesewhappyquilt in any Instagram posts of your quilt progress.
Follow the hashtag #mesewhappyquilt on Instagram - to do this, just go to the search icon (magnifying glass symbol) at the bottom of the screen & click on it. At the top of the page is a search bar - enter #mesewhappyquilt & in the new screen tap "follow" at the top of the page.
Using the hashtag & following the hashtag enables you to connect with other quilt-along participants - make new stitching friends, share ideas, ask questions, learn nifty tips etc.
